About your performance class.
This class is for people who love variety! You'll focus on two different styles with two different teachers to allow you to explore 2 genres of dance. We'll move through Contemporary Lyrical, exploring the foundations and nuances of contemporary dance while exploring storytelling through artistic expression. Then during the second semester we will jump into Jazz Funk, exploring a more explosive, rhythmic, and percussive side to jazz. You'll perform 2 dances on stage at the year end show- one contemporary lyrical piece, and one jazz funk piece.
Level 2: Intermediate. At least 4 consecutive years of dance experience within the last 7 years. Able to pick up choreography, understanding of rhythm and dance patters, cross floor experience, and sequencing.
*RNS performance classes run from Oct 6- May 30. This is a weekly class. No classes Dec 20-Jan 4. Show date May 30. Includes weekly classes (2 RNS teachers), photoshoot, video of your dance on show day, monthly newsletter to keep you updated, performer gathering part way through the year, and access to a google drive with everything you need to know! No performance fee, what you see is what you get ;)
