Performance Teams

Weekly class working towards an epic night of joy, community, and
dance performance!

Our offerings are tailored to meet the needs of the performer, whether it's your first time performing or you call the stage your home. We design our programs to cultivate self-worth on the dance floor, and epic joy on stage!

Registration opens JUNE 2026 for the Oct-June season!

Snapshot of the season

RNS performance teams meet weekly from October to May, working toward a show where each team performs two pieces on stage. You'll work with different choreographers with a two semester approach to the season. It isn't just about the stage; so the season includes a professional photoshoot, community gatherings, and full digital support throughout the season to keep you connected. Whether you are new to the stage, or have danced your whole life, at RNS our focus is about creating a space where you get to explore the process of artistry and release the stress of the day to take time just for you in a team environment focused on growth, expression, and joy.

First Semester

You’ll work with your team to produce a piece for the stage along with technical training and exploration of the style.

This class or classes are your ANCHOR classes. This means this is the class you take all season long. You’ll work with your first teacher in semester one and your second teacher in semester two. This way you get to experience being on stage twice with your team and explore 2 different ways of approaching the style!

Your first teacher will work with you first semester to create your first piece for the stage.

Second Semester

“FOCUS. WHERE ATTENTION GOES”. A long form dance piece of multiple levels and genres that explores what it means to dance a narrative thread. This piece will be co-created by Desiree Webb and Caleigh Hunter.

You’ll be with your ANCHOR class performing various blocks of a 45 minute piece. Sometimes only with your team and other times alongside other performance teams. You may also choose to EXPLORE an additional style during this second semester by adding any of the EXPLORE classes.

You’ll get to feel what it’s like to perform a long form piece as you would as a professional dancer, taking your artistic understanding and expression to all new heights.

The audience will experience two completely different ways of viewing adult dance during our show, and you’ll get to feel two ways of performing!

“FOCUS. WHERE ATTENTION GOES”.

We compare. We perform. We disappear.

This piece is a dance exploration of the modern mind in a time where we are pulled in every direction. We chase connection but continually lose the ability to be present. In a world engineered to steal your attention, what does it mean to truly arrive somewhere?

WHAT MAKES RNS UNIQUE? GLAD YOU ASKED.

1. Weekly class with 2 RNS faculty who will each set a piece on your team for the show!

2. 2 pieces for the stage. Every class performs 2 numbers on stage, so you get that full embodied experience and can be present in the moment to celebrate all you've worked for!

3. Professional photoshoot. Each class participates in a team photo shoot, which comes with a digital copy that you can keep looking back on for years to come.

4. Support. Not just support throughout the class, but from all faculty and directors. Direct newsletters from Cael and Des (artistic directors) with all the information you could ever need to help you succeed and feel great both in class and on stage!

5. Community gatherings. It isn't just about the show, it's about the journey to get there. Join us for a free performer gathering where we get to chat, play games, and join in community to celebrate during the performance year!

6. Digital support. Online you'll be in touch with your teacher and the directors through a shared digital folder where you can find rehearsal videos, costume boards, class photos, and important dates.

7. Time on stage. Not only do you get a tech rehearsal prior to the show, but you also get a full dress rehearsal so that you have time to try it out before the big show!

8. Transparency. What you see is what you get. No hidden fees, no surprise bills, no costume fee (you choose your own costume!), no performance fee. Tax is included as well as the payment processing fee.

9. We call it a team...not a class. You're part of our family. We are all part of a team working together towards a common goal- EIPC JOY ON STAGE AND SELF WORTH ON THE DANCE FLOOR!

10. We LOVE what we do. We hire faculty who go through a variety of hiring stages to ensure we hire teachers who not only are extremely talented and proficient in their skill, but they know the history/lineage of what they teach, they have worked or currently work as professional dancers/teachers, and their number one driving force is JOY!
