DESIRAE BARKMAN (she,her)

Dancer, actor, and singer, Desirae Barkman is thrilled to be joining the RNS family. Originally from Victoria, Desirae grew up training and competing across the province, and performed in a number of productions within the city's musical theatre community such as VOS' productions of Les Misérables, and A Chorus Line. With a BFA in Acting from The University of Victoria, Desirae's endeavors led her to various acting and dance captain contracts within BC before making the move to Toronto. Over the last few years Desirae has trained with choreographers from Toronto, LA and NYC, and has performed with Toronto's elite heels company, The Army of Sass, where she began developing a deep love for dancing in heels-- she found it to be "heeling," if you will. Desirae has a passion for art, community, fitness, body positivity, and female empowerment, and she is so excited to be back on the west coast and have the opportunity to share her heart with the city of Victoria through dance.
