Join us for a day of EDUCATION, INSPIRATION, AND DANCE!

This day is built for school dancers and school dance programs and provides an opportunity for teachers to send their students to a "convention" style dance event that is close to home. This event will be held during school hours and we are hopeful that you will join us for what will be an amazing opportunity to learn, grow, and improve as a student in dance.

The Big Picture:

​

Who: High school students in grades 9-12 enrolled in a dance program (semester, linear, or academy) or who show an interest in dance. These dancers may range from beginner to advanced.

​

Why: To create an environment where school dancers can grow and learn in a "big city convention" style space. This will be an opportunity for dancers from various schools to come together outside of their "festival" or "competitive" environment, and create bonds between schools whilst furthering the education of the dancer through thoughtful masterclasses and seminars.

Where: Saanich Fairgrounds,1528 Stellys Cross Rd, Saanichton, BC V8M 1S8

When: Thursday April 18, 2024. 8:45am-3:30pm

​

Classes: Styles include hip hop and sub genres, jazz and sub genres, and contemporary and sub genres. Intermediate, Intermediate/Advanced, and Advanced levels offered. Dancers will be placed based on their school dance program level. Teachers who are outside of the Victoria community will lead masterclasses.
